Hospice provides palliative care instead of curative treatments.  Hospice offers comfort to patients who are approaching the completion of their lives.  Physicians, nurses, social workers and chaplains team up to design a plan of care that delivers pain control and symptom management and the best possible quality of life to hospice patients.  Bereavement services are provided to family members.  As with home health, patients have a right to choose their own hospice provider.  Home health patients at Sta-home can even choose to have members of their home health team to continue as a part of their hospice team.
